Flickplay is a social wallet app designed to work with different kinds of digital art and collectibles. Users can obtain collectibles through an interactive AR map of their surroundings and then show them off using a suite of video and content-creation tools. Collectibles include stationary “murals” tied to a real-world location and interactive digital “objects.” Founder Pierina Merino described the app as the map gamification of Pokémon Go combined with TikTok‑style social features. Flickplay plans to expand its capabilities and partnerships and eventually help users monetize their collectibles. The company has 20 employees and has raised $6.3 million in total historically.
