Fluent operates a blockchain-based financial operating network that powers applications for global trade and the financial supply chain. The platform enables real-time B2B payments, supply chain finance, and a peer-to-peer working capital marketplace while aiming to reduce risk and streamline and automate settlement. The company spent nearly a year in stealth building the platform and working with enterprises to understand financial operations challenges. Fluent announced a pilot partnership with Commerce Bancshares, which has been participating in the Fluent Network pilot program since February 2016. The company plans to use new funding to grow its engineering team, bolster business development, and expand its sales force to serve banking partners and non-bank lenders. Fluent has raised a total of $2.5MM to date following a November 2015 pre-seed financing.
