Foodsi
Ul. Bohdana Dobrzańskiego 3, Lublin, Mazowieckie, 20-262, Poland
Overview
Foodsi operates a platform that lets food establishments resell unsold items as surprise discounted packages (up to 70% off) available for same- or next-day pickup. The app aggregates offers from venues and allows users to reserve packages in seconds. Foodsi works with small local businesses and larger brands such as Carrefour, Wedel, Etno Cafe, Cofix, Campanile and Herbapol. The company reports almost 2 million users across major Polish cities including Warsaw, Wrocław, Kraków, Poznań and the Tricity area. Foodsi has launched a pilot solution for manufacturers to sell short‑expiration products delivered to homes. Management says the business will use new funds to grow, expand product and sales teams, and increase operational efficiency while preparing for a Series A round. Foodsi operates a managed mobile marketplace that allows catering establishments and shops to sell surplus food as surprise packages for same- or next-day collection. Users can book discounted packages—often as low as 30% of the original price—and the app aggregates offers from restaurants, bakeries, cafés, grocery shops and other outlets. The company reports over 800,000 mobile app users (more than 500,000 joined in the last year), over 3,000 partner establishments across Poland, and more than 850,000 food packages saved since launch. Foodsi’s app experience and operations support rapid onboarding of partners and has tripled the number of available outlets over the past year. Founded in 2019 and based in Warsaw, the startup plans to use new funding to add analytics and automated offer-sharing for partners, roll out product changes for consumers, expand further across Poland and prepare for international expansion next year. The team has grown sixfold over the past year and now numbers more than 30 people.
