Overview

AIP Seed is a venture capital fund investing in early-stage technology companies. We back visionary founders from Poland and the Polish diaspora who are building technologies that transform industries globally. Our approach combines capital with strategic expertise through our Competence Hubs, offering founders comprehensive support in key areas like AI technology, marketing, and finance. Born from Dariusz Żuk's twenty-year legacy in the Polish startup ecosystem, we bring deep experience in nurturing early-stage companies into global successes. We focus on quality over quantity, seeking founders who match our long-term vision and commitment to excellence. Our investments go beyond financial support — we build lasting partnerships with entrepreneurs who dare to think big and execute with precision. We typically invest up to $250,000 in initial funding rounds. Visit aipseed.vc to learn more about our vision and investment thesis.

  • Foodsi

    Participated · Seed · Oct 2024

Foodsi operates a platform that lets food establishments resell unsold items as surprise discounted packages (up to 70% off) available for same- or next-day pickup. The app aggregates offers from venues and allows users to reserve packages in seconds. Foodsi works with small local businesses and larger brands such as Carrefour, Wedel, Etno Cafe, Cofix, Campanile and Herbapol. The company reports almost 2 million users across major Polish cities including Warsaw, Wrocław, Kraków, Poznań and the Tricity area. Foodsi has launched a pilot solution for manufacturers to sell short‑expiration products delivered to homes. Management says the business will use new funds to grow, expand product and sales teams, and increase operational efficiency while preparing for a Series A round. Foodsi operates a managed mobile marketplace that allows catering establishments and shops to sell surplus food as surprise packages for same- or next-day collection. Users can book discounted packages—often as low as 30% of the original price—and the app aggregates offers from restaurants, bakeries, cafés, grocery shops and other outlets. The company reports over 800,000 mobile app users (more than 500,000 joined in the last year), over 3,000 partner establishments across Poland, and more than 850,000 food packages saved since launch. Foodsi’s app experience and operations support rapid onboarding of partners and has tripled the number of available outlets over the past year. Founded in 2019 and based in Warsaw, the startup plans to use new funding to add analytics and automated offer-sharing for partners, roll out product changes for consumers, expand further across Poland and prepare for international expansion next year. The team has grown sixfold over the past year and now numbers more than 30 people.

  • Maas Loop

    Participated · Equity · Mar 2024

Maas Loop builds hardware aimed at improving waste management and supporting emerging deposit-return systems. The start-up has developed two devices: Glass Loop, a crusher for single-use glass bottles that can reduce glass waste volume up to fivefold, and Rev Loop, a unit to simplify collection and sorting of plastic bottles and cans. Glass Loop is already distributed to early customers in the U.K. via local waste-management firms, while Rev Loop was piloted by Żabka in Bydgoszcz and Zielona Góra and the company participated in the Orlen Skylight Accelerator and a pilot program. Maas Loop began operations in 2020 and only started sales last year after pandemic-related delays working with retailers and HoReCa. Current revenues remain low, and the company expects contracted deals to increase revenue this year. In the future the team plans to move beyond initial glass crushing into packaging-glass processing and production of water-retentive paving slabs.
