For Real! Foods produces nutrient-rich frozen meals whose first concept is a frozen pizza built primarily on locally grown cabbage bases. By replacing grains and additives with 100% natural ingredients the pizzas are gluten free, low carb, protein-rich, higher in fiber and micronutrients and lower in salt than regular pizza. The company launched in 2020 and sells through Swedish food retailers, Mathem.se, its own site and food service. Only a year after launch it began taking in investors to be able to cater for growing demand. The funding will be used to scale production and sales & marketing in Sweden and across the Nordics and to secure launches of new products. For Real! Foods positions itself as a challenger in the Nordic frozen fast-food industry focused on locally sourced, additive-free alternatives.
