Forest builds a backbone administration interface that creates hooks to the web services companies use, giving a single dashboard to track and manipulate data and perform actions. Users can plug in services such as Stripe, Intercom, Close.io and Mixpanel, create custom integrations, build dashboards, save searches, segment users and generate charts. The product also supports taking actions without leaving the interface (for example viewing Intercom messages and issuing Stripe refunds) and managing administration rights across connected services. Forest says requests are issued from the client to the application database so data does not pass through Forest’s servers. The company operates a freemium model—basic features are free while paid tiers add permissions, smart views, custom integrations and other features. To date Forest has attracted over 350 clients.
