Funding Xchange offers white‑label software and insights platforms for banks, challenger banks and specialist lenders, using Open Banking data to automate data collection and expand underwriting capacity. Its products have been adopted by 80 high street banks, specialist lenders and challenger banks. The company says its technology promotes transparency, better customer outcomes and more efficient lending processes across the SME lending ecosystem. Funding Xchange will use the Series B to accelerate ecosystem adoption of these digital tools and close collaboration between banks and businesses. Management described the Barclays‑led investment as transformational and as recognition of strong client advocacy. Funding Xchange previously raised a $10 million Series A in 2020 led by Downing Ventures and Gresham House Ventures. Funding Xchange has built digital decisioning technology that enables fintech partners to provide customers with instant, personalised and transparent business funding quotes. Its intelligent platform mirrors lenders' decisioning based on their credit policies, affordability models and risk pricing, using live transactional data including closed group CRA data to deliver personalised terms for SMEs. By holding decisioning within the platform, applicants' personal data is protected and businesses retain control over the funding process. The company has integrated access to finance into payment solutions and cloud accounting software to create a seamless experience for small businesses. Since inception it has served over 100,000 UK businesses and also supplies its technology to price comparison websites such as MoneySuperMarket and Money.co.uk. Led by CEO Katrin Herrling, Funding Xchange plans to continue building its marketplace technology and accelerate rollout of a white-label 'lending in a box' solution that digitizes key underwriting steps so banks and lenders can better serve business customers.
