The company recently raised $18M in a Series C financing from a mix of new and existing investors. GainSpan also maintains R&D operations in India to support product development. GainSpan develops low-power Wi‑Fi semiconductor solutions. The company announced a strategic investment and technology development agreement with In-Q-Tel. The deal positions GainSpan's technology for access and potential deployment within the U.S. Intelligence Community. As an In-Q-Tel technology partner, GainSpan will receive introductions to other portfolio companies for knowledge-sharing and co-development. Vijay Parmar, GainSpan's president and CEO, said the agreement ensures the U.S. Intelligence Community has easy access to GainSpan technology.
