Galgus develops smart WiFi technology that optimises network performance and provides advanced geolocation analytics, deployed across venues from aircraft and trains to stadiums, shopping malls, hotels, schools and rural areas. The company has secured partnership agreements with telecommunications firms such as Netoip, Around People, Telefónica, Cellnex, Wavesight and Icomera. Galgus has major projects in the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain and has offices in Latin America (Colombia and Peru) and the United States (Boston). Led by CEO José González, the company intends to use the new capital to finance and accelerate international expansion and to respond to demand from core markets like North America. Financially, Galgus announced a EUR4m funding injection described as a down payment toward a larger round the company expects to close by the end of 2022. Galgus develops Cognitive Hotspot™ Technology (CHT), a patented software solution that gives WiFi access points the ability to measure their environment, share telemetry and optimize resources in real time. The company says CHT can improve WiFi performance by up to 400% and is used daily by more than one million people across transport (air, rail, road, maritime), hotels and event venues. Deployments cited include hotels in the Barceló chain and the Benito Villamarín stadium; Galgus also works with Telefónica on WiFi4EU projects reaching roughly 250,000 people to date. Its product offers additional services such as device localization, heat‑map generation, hacker detection and cloud management. The team emphasizes continued product validation by the market and intends to scale the business and pursue international expansion with new investor support.
