It soft-launched its mobile game Elemental Raiders in March 2023 and plans for 2024 will build on that launch. GFAL raised $3.2M in a Seed funding round led by Supercell Ltd and Mitch Lasky, with participation from Heinrich Zetlmayer, Bonduc Bioscience SL, BCNBCNLVC, David Fernandez, Bonsai Partners, Nekko Consulting, Inveready and others. The company intends to use the funds to expand its core team and accelerate its production plans. Games for a Living (G4AL) is a Barcelona-based game-fi studio founded by video game and technology specialists to develop Triple-A quality video games and metaverses with NFTs and crypto tokens. The company plans to launch its first official title, Elemental Raiders, in June. It has already started a private sale of its Game Gold Token ($GGT) and plans a public ICO in June. G4AL will also offer a video game engine based on its technology to let external developers bring products to the blockchain. The studio intends to release two additional games: Millionaire Wars, a match-3 title featuring luxury NFTs, and a World War II–themed trading card game called World War II Meta. The company is co-founded by Nuclio, a venture builder in Southern Europe, and Manel Sort, the former FVP of King’s Barcelona studio.
