GBM Works

Grasweg 31, Amsterdam, 1031 HW, The Netherlands

Overview

GBM Works, originating from Delft University of Technology, is focused on solving the underwater noise problem created by conventional pile-driving in offshore wind construction. Its core product, Vibrojet, combines controlled vibrations with targeted water jets to fluidise soil and drive monopiles into the seabed, reducing installation noise by up to 63 percent while cutting time and cost. The company collaborates with industry partners such as DEME Offshore and research institute Deltares to refine prediction models and broaden the technology’s applicability to diverse soil conditions worldwide. In addition to monopile installation, its expertise can extend to jacket piles, moorings, decommissioning, and harbour infrastructure projects. GBM Works plans to demonstrate Vibrojet in the Ecowende (Hollandse Kust West VI) wind farm in early 2026. The new capital will accelerate these pilots and further product development, positioning the firm as a leader in silent offshore wind foundation installation. Financially, the company has closed a €6.2 million seed round backed by institutional and strategic investors.
