Genoox
550 California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA, 94306, United States
Overview
Genoox operates a community-driven genomic data platform that connects clinicians, genetic counsellors and healthcare organizations. The platform is used by over 1,500 genetic labs and health systems across the U.S., Europe, Australia, Asia and Latin America. The company facilitates sharing genetic insights to create a network effect among genetic professionals. Genoox says it will use the newly raised funds to expand its community of genetic professional users and enhance that network effect. The company is based in Palo Alto, California. Alongside the funding announcement, Genoox appointed Ohad Arazi as chairman of the board; Arazi is a technology executive and digital health innovator with prior roles at McKesson, Change Healthcare, TELUS Health and Zebra Medical Vision. Genoox is a data-science company that takes raw genome-sequencing data and presents actionable information to medical professionals. Its platform is designed to reduce the cost and overhead of genomic analysis and to filter out clinically irrelevant data for faster decision-making. Co-founder Amir Trabelsi says the company aims to make genomic data part of clinical routine and to update clinicians as new research emerges. Genoox is initially targeting rare-disease diagnosis and intends to expand into carrier screening and hereditary cancer testing. The company positions itself alongside other clinician-focused genomic players such as Sophia Genetics. Genoox recently raised $6M in a funding round led by Triventures.
