GenSensor
Saint-Herblain, Pays de la Loire, France
Overview
GenSensor develops an automated online robot and monitoring system for real-time tracking of biological parameters during the manufacture of gene therapy vectors, vaccines and monoclonal antibodies. Founded in 2021 and based in Nantes, the company fuses microfluidics, robotics, sequencing and analytics to locate indicators of bioreactor health and provide end-to-end sampling to bioinformatics workflows. Its platform is positioned as a “genomic companion” to increase production capacity, improve process expertise and reduce the ecological impact of bioproduction. GenSensor aims to finish industrial development of its robot and launch initial applications for gene therapy, vaccine and antibody manufacturing using the new funding. The company presents itself as a partner for reindustrialising biomedicine production in France and supporting Industry 4.0 transitions by producing biological data in real time. GenSensor is a member of France Biolead and emphasizes local talent, training in analytical methods, and collaboration with regional, national and European partners.
