GI UK Medical, formed by Andy Fox, Andy Smith and Lawrence Wade and based in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, supplies gastroenterology technologies to the NHS and private providers. The company has secured exclusive distribution deals, including rights to a capsule endoscopy system that can replace invasive colonoscopy procedures. That capsule contains a tiny video camera and uses AI to pre‑analyse footage, reducing clinicians' review time. GI UK Medical has attained ISO 9001 quality certification required to trade successfully. The recent £650k funding will support development of global supply partnerships, the launch of sales and marketing activities, recruitment of two sales staff and establishment as a new NHS supplier.
