Gifts for Change operates an online platform and a creative agency called Engagement Par l’Objet that designs and distributes ecologically and socially responsible items, largely made in France. Its products are 99% eco-designed, 80% made in France, and 40% made by people with disabilities, and partner organisations help sell items and donate part of the price to associated causes. Founded in 2014 and based in Paris, the company has 12 employees and serves major customers including FNAC and WWF. To date Gifts for Change has enabled €400K of contributions to partner causes, distributed 540K items across more than 300 operations in over 1,000 outlets in 2019, and donates 13% of its turnover to partner associations. The company's activity grew 65% in 2019 and it aims to pay €1 million to associated good cause partners by 2025. It plans to strengthen teams and production capacity in France, diversify and digitalize its offering, reorganize its website for transparency, reduce product prices, and facilitate mass delivery.
