Glīd builds autonomous road-to-rail freight infrastructure centered on dual-mode vehicles called Glīders that operate on both road and rail to carry standard containers without terminals or additional handling. The company has introduced Rāden, an unmanned hybrid-electric road-to-rail vehicle, and the EZRA-1SIX AI logistics platform for real-time multimodal dispatch. Founded in 2022 by Kevin A. Damoa, Glīd targets the congested and costly first mile of container transport from ports to rail yards. The startup plans to launch GliderM, a manned hybrid-electric vehicle, in California and Washington by Q3 2025.
