Overview
Goboony operates an online marketplace that connects motorhome and campervan owners with travellers seeking rentals. Founded in 2015, the platform hosts over 5,000 vehicles and has sent more than 100,000 people on holiday from the Netherlands, UK, Italy, and Belgium. The company reports triple-digit supply growth (236%) over the past two years amid rising motorhome ownership and ‘van life’ demand. Goboony recently launched activities in Germany and France and is working on a new range of products across regions, including insurance policies. It plans to use new funding to accelerate international expansion and aims to offer the largest European fleet by early 2022. The platform positions itself as a sharing-economy alternative that helps owners offset ownership costs and connects a community of motorhome enthusiasts. Goboony operates an online marketplace that enables motorhome and camper owners to rent out otherwise idle vehicles. The platform reports an average weekly rental rate of €795 per camper and typical booking durations of eight weeks. Goboony says it has grown 300% over the past year, with more than 1,600 camp owners sharing their campers and 15,000 people having taken motorhome holidays through the site. It has partnered with larger mobility brands such as MyWheels, a car‑sharing platform working in the Netherlands since 1993, taking all of MyWheels' motorhomes onto Goboony's platform. Goboony aims to realize 1 million campervan holidays as a future growth target. Recently it raised €579k via a Symbid crowdfunding campaign, demonstrating community support and early funding traction.
