GoodData is a San Francisco, CA-based provider of an end-to-end cloud analytics platform. Led by CEO Roman Stanek, the company enables business analysts, business managers and IT professionals to turn data into actionable insights. Its platform provides self-service visualization and on-demand advanced tools for building custom metrics, with no hardware or software to integrate or manage. GoodData completed a $25.7M equity financing in February 2014. The round was led by Intel Capital with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, General Catalyst, Tenaya Capital, TOTVS, Next World Capital, Windcrest and Pharus Capital. In conjunction with the funding, Intel Capital Director Igor Taber will join GoodData’s board. GoodData offers a cloud-based data analytics and business intelligence service with pre-configured templates to analyze company data. The platform includes integration support from GoodData and lets customers track, segment and target their information. It competes with offerings from IBM, SAP and Oracle as well as analytics providers such as Birst and Bime Analytics. Founded in the Czech Republic and headquartered in San Francisco, the company positions itself as a leader in the emerging cloud BI market. GoodData has now raised $75.5 million to date and says an IPO could be possible in the next few years if it continues to execute. The company cited TOTVS' regional clout in Latin America as a factor in accepting the new investment.
