GR3N
Corso S. Gottardo 14, Chiasso, Ticino, 6830, Switzerland
Overview
GR3N has developed MADE (Microwave Assisted DEpolymerization), a patented chemical recycling technology that can process 100% of PET feedstocks including packaging and textile-derived materials. The company says MADE achieves high yields and can reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 80% compared with virgin PET, producing food-grade monomers that can be recycled indefinitely without performance loss. GR3N is advancing a MODUS demonstration/industrial project in Spain with 40,000 tonnes per year capacity, developed with Intecsa Industrial (Cobra IS) as EPC partner. The MODUS project received a €35 million EU Innovation Fund grant, with financial close planned for Q4 2027 and commercial operations targeted for Q2 2030. GR3N positions its technology as a solution to treat the c.85% of PET not addressable by mechanical recycling amid tightening EU packaging regulations and rising brand commitments on recycled content.
