GrabrFi is a San Francisco, California–based financial services company that enables people to open online US dollar accounts without traveling or being US residents. Its product lets users receive international payments, send and receive remittances, purchase airline tickets, pay for subscriptions, and save in dollars as protection against inflation and macroeconomic uncertainty. The service is available in 14 countries, including Spain, and the platform currently allows users in Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, and Brazil to open accounts. The company says millions worldwide seek access to US banking and the US consumer market for these use cases. Following a recent €2 million funding round supported by Wayra, GrabrFi plans to expand its reach into Latin America and establish partnerships to enhance its product offering to existing and new customers. Founder and CEO Artem Fedyaev said Wayra’s support will help accelerate that vision.
