Overview
Granite Bio is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing first-in-class antibody therapeutics that target root drivers of inflammation, autoimmunity and fibrotic disease. Its pipeline includes two lead programs: GRT-001, which depletes pro-inflammatory monocytes and is in Phase 1a in healthy volunteers with a Phase 1b IBD study planned later this year; and GRT-002, an IL-3 blocker in preclinical development expected to enter clinical trials in 2026. Both lead molecules were developed in collaboration with Versant’s Ridgeline Discovery Engine in Basel and originated from the laboratory of Professor Matthias Mack. The company emerged from stealth with $100 million in financing and is backed by leading healthcare venture firms. Management is led by CEO Patrick Loustau and an experienced executive and scientific team with deep immunology and drug-development backgrounds.
