Greenmomit develops smart-home devices, led by its momit Smart Thermostat, to help users optimize energy spending and control home systems from smartphones. The company was founded in January 2012 by Miguel Sánchez, Eduardo Rodríguez and Miguel Díez and employs a team of 20, with over 95% graduates and about 70% working in R&D. Greenmomit is an alumni of the Wayra accelerator. The startup reports being young and profitable, surpassing €1 million in sales in the first half of 2014 and having presence in 11 countries. With the new funds, it plans to reinforce its international position and launch a series of new products starting this summer, targeting Latin America, Germany and the UK. Its stated objective is to become a leader in the smart-home device market.
