Grundium develops a portable digital microscope scanner that allows pathologists to scan and digitize high-resolution images immediately from operating rooms, research centers and other remote locations. The scanner is intended to enable faster analysis and diagnoses by providing immediate high-resolution images. Led by CEO Mika Kuisma, the company is finalizing development of a new digital microscope scanner. Grundium raised €2m in funding to support that work. The company plans to use the funds to finalize product development, grow its sales and marketing team, and ramp up manufacturing. The new product was slated for a global launch in Spring 2018.
