Founded in 2020, New York-based Hauler Hero has built a unified software suite that modernizes operations for waste haulers by integrating customer relationship management, billing, routing, and real-time fleet oversight. The platform now ingests images from third-party truck cameras to verify pickups, reduce billing disputes, and improve quality control. To further automate workflows, the company is rolling out three AI agents: Hero Vision (issue and revenue detection), Hero Chat (customer support), and Hero Route (dynamic route optimization). Since launch, Hauler Hero says it has facilitated 35 million trash pickups and, since its late-2024 seed round, has doubled headcount, revenue, and customer count. The company is also gaining traction with municipal customers, partly driven by industry consolidation after Routeware and Wastech merged in 2024. With its latest capital, management plans to commercialize the AI agents, deepen municipal offerings, and continue product expansion. Hauler Hero has raised more than $27 million in venture funding to date.
