Havfram is a pure‑play offshore wind infrastructure company focused on transport, installation and development services for the offshore wind sector. The company was spun out of Havfram AS (formerly Ocean Installer AS), sponsored by HitecVision, and is developing a fleet of next‑generation turbine installation vessels capable of servicing 20 MW+ turbines. Havfram has executed a shipbuilding contract with CIMC‑Raffles for the NG20000X vessel, which is equipped with a 3,250‑ton crane and a battery hybrid drive train; the agreement contemplates construction of up to four vessels. The vessels are designed to install turbines with over 300m tip height and foundations up to 3,000 tonnes at water depths to 70m, and include electric battery and energy recovery systems intended to reduce carbon emissions per MW installed by over 70% versus previous models. The company is headquartered in Oslo and maintains a global presence with offices in Stavanger, Perth and Aberdeen. Financially, Havfram has doubled its equity funding to USD 500 million via Sandbrook Capital and PSP Investments and is supported by credit financing from commercial banks and export credit agencies; HitecVision remains a minority investor.
