    Cohere builds enterprise-grade AI and large language model capabilities with a platform designed for deployment across public clouds, private environments, and on-premises infrastructure. The company has raised roughly $1.6 billion from investors such as Nvidia, AMD Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, Oracle, Cisco, Radical Ventures, Inovia Capital, and PSP Investments. Cohere announced plans to merge with Aleph Alpha to create a transatlantic sovereign AI provider anchored in Germany and Canada, with deployment of the sovereign offering on STACKIT, Schwarz Digits’ cloud infrastructure. The merger and the $600 million structured financing commitment from Schwarz Group are aimed at serving governments and regulated industries seeking AI sovereignty. Both Cohere and Aleph Alpha were founded in 2019, and the combined entity is positioned to offer an alternative to dominant US-based AI providers.

    Promise Robotics is a Toronto-based construction-technology startup focused on helping builders and real-estate developers automate off-site fabrication through industrialized robotics and artificial intelligence. Its integrated production platform manufactures highly sustainable, panelized building systems that cut production cycle time by 50 % and virtually eliminate material waste compared with traditional construction. By lowering costs and carbon emissions, the company addresses pressing sector challenges such as housing shortages, labour gaps and embodied-carbon reduction. Promise Robotics is currently collaborating with developers and builders to scale capacity for faster, greener housing deployment. Future plans center on democratizing access to advanced automation so that even low-margin construction businesses can adopt the technology. The firm’s early momentum earned it seed support from Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) in December 2021, validating both its market potential and environmental impact.

    NeXtWind is a Berlin-based energy start-up focused on repowering and expanding wind farm assets in Germany. It currently holds a portfolio of ten wind farms in Northern and Eastern Germany and targets the replacement of aged turbines. The company identifies wind sites suitable for integration with photovoltaic systems and batteries for intermediate storage to create green, decentralised energy supply. Founders Lars B. Meyer, Werner Süss and Ewald Woste lead the firm's strategy to become a major sustainable power producer in Germany. NeXtWind has secured a financing round of up to $750 million to accelerate acquisitions and repowering efforts. The company plans to use the capital to acquire and repower more wind power plants and scale its sustainable energy model across Germany.

    Havfram is a pure‑play offshore wind infrastructure company focused on transport, installation and development services for the offshore wind sector. The company was spun out of Havfram AS (formerly Ocean Installer AS), sponsored by HitecVision, and is developing a fleet of next‑generation turbine installation vessels capable of servicing 20 MW+ turbines. Havfram has executed a shipbuilding contract with CIMC‑Raffles for the NG20000X vessel, which is equipped with a 3,250‑ton crane and a battery hybrid drive train; the agreement contemplates construction of up to four vessels. The vessels are designed to install turbines with over 300m tip height and foundations up to 3,000 tonnes at water depths to 70m, and include electric battery and energy recovery systems intended to reduce carbon emissions per MW installed by over 70% versus previous models. The company is headquartered in Oslo and maintains a global presence with offices in Stavanger, Perth and Aberdeen. Financially, Havfram has doubled its equity funding to USD 500 million via Sandbrook Capital and PSP Investments and is supported by credit financing from commercial banks and export credit agencies; HitecVision remains a minority investor.

  • Ziply Fiber

    Ziply Fiber provides fiber internet and voice services across the U.S. Northwest, offering speeds up to 5-gig across its fiber service area. Its primary products include Fiber Internet and phone for residential customers, Business Fiber Internet and Ziply Voice for small businesses, plus internet, networking and voice solutions for enterprise customers; it also continues to support DSL and TV customers in parts of Washington and Oregon. In its first two years of operation the company upgraded its copper network to fiber in more than 80 markets and has many more markets in the pipeline. The company announced $450 million in new funding to support continued fiber network expansion and an expanded edge-out strategy. Management said the capital will enable Ziply to serve more markets and continue closing the digital divide in rural and suburban communities across the Northwest. The company named Chris Denzin as Chief Operating Officer to oversee residential and commercial sales, customer care, field operations and product development, and promoted Rob Griffith to Chief, Fiber Design and Construction to lead fiber expansion.
