Hexagem develops semiconductor-material solutions for microLED displays and optical interconnects, using a wafer-based InGaN epitaxy approach that enables sub-micrometer emitters without plasma etching. Its platform supports monolithic RGB integration on 200 mm and 300 mm silicon platforms compatible with standard CMOS manufacturing, aimed at addressing industrial scaling challenges. The company reports internal quantum efficiency above 50% in deep-red emission per its press releases. Hexagem says its technology reduces defects and improves energy efficiency compared with conventional approaches, tackling the manufacturing barriers that have held back microLED commercialization.
