Highlight offers a publicly launched, open-source monitoring platform that stitches together full-stack error monitoring, front-end session replay, and logging to give engineers a single view across the application stack. The product is built on the OpenTelemetry (OTel) observability framework and supports integration via Highlight’s SDKs or by sending OTel directly. Before the public launch the codebase attracted significant traction—more than 5,000 GitHub stars and over 5,000 developers—and early customers including Beeper, Aurora, Focal, FlowClub and others. The company says its tooling speeds root-cause analysis by combining alerts, session replays, and logs so teams avoid manual data collation. Highlight plans to expand SDK support across more environments and languages, introduce tracing and metrics products, and invest in community engagement to maintain its open-source roots. The company recently raised an $8M seed to fund product development, compatibility work, and community initiatives.
