Hip provides a platform that links employers to third-party bus and shuttle providers, offering route planning, seat reservations, real-time tracking and contact-tracing tools. The company added a B2B offering during the pandemic and built an internal tool for employers to upload thousands of employees and their home addresses to plan routes and control costs. Hip also supports vehicle capacity controls and customizable in-app features such as health and consent forms. The startup says it now supports over 200 U.S. cities through partner providers and has a handful of active corporate customers with dozens more ready to deploy. The company employs 20 people across offices in New York City and Tel Aviv and plans to hire more staff and expand engineering, sales and operations. Hip intends to move further into providing modern software systems that connect corporations to ground-transportation providers.
