Hirundo
Hatachana 64, Binyamina, Israel
Overview
Hirundo builds industry-first machine unlearning solutions that retroactively remove unwanted data, biased behavior, hallucinations and vulnerabilities from already-trained AI models without degrading performance. The platform locates directions in a model’s parameters that drive undesired behaviors and removes them, and the company says this works for open-source models and will soon support gated models. Hirundo reports product outcomes of up to 55% reduction in hallucinations, up to 70% reduction in bias, and an 85% decrease in successful prompt injections across internal demonstrations. The startup is piloting with multinational corporations and government agencies across high-risk industries such as finance, healthcare and defense. Founded in 2023 and based in Tel Aviv, Hirundo was started by Emeritus Professor Oded Shmueli, Ben Luria and Michael Leybovich. The company recently closed seed financing to advance its technology and support broader enterprise adoption.
