HomeX operates a platform that connects homeowners and service providers both virtually and in person, and provides software tools for contractors to drive and manage demand. Its HomeX Remote Assist product connects homeowners via phone, video, or chat with licensed technicians to diagnose and resolve common home issues. The company uses AI to diagnose problems before dispatching technicians so contractors arrive prepared and repairs complete faster. Remote Assist grew more than 400% in less than a year, and HomeX grew about 5x the number of contractors on its platform last year; in the past 12 months it served “hundreds of thousands” of clients via virtual and physical appointments.
