Honorlock is based in Boca Raton, Fla. Financially, it has recently completed growth financings to support technology investments and talent. Honorlock is a cloud-based proctoring system that integrates with a school’s learning management system and uses a hybrid model combining AI, machine learning and live proctors to deter cheating. Led by CEO Michael Hemlepp, the company aims to provide a non-threatening online testing environment for honest test-takers. Its clients include the University of Florida, the University of North Alabama and Florida International University. In March 2020 Honorlock raised $11.5M in a Series A to accelerate growth, technology development and expansion into new markets. The company said the funding will be used to scale its platform and enter new markets, and the round coincided with several board additions.
