Hubble

51 Eastcheap, Billingsgate, London, United Kingdom

Overview

Hubble operates a data-driven platform that helps businesses design and manage hybrid workplaces via four products: Workplace Strategy Tool, Hubble HQ, Hubble Pass, and Hubble Perks, all managed on one dashboard. The company is launching this new suite of hybrid-work products to meet rising demand as employers shift away from long-term leases. Hubble HQ lists over 5,000 office spaces across the UK, while Hubble Pass is available in 12 countries with roughly 200 spaces and is growing by about 30 spaces per month. The company experienced a 95% drop in office enquiries in March 2020 but recovered to about 80% of pre-COVID levels by June 2021; over 70% of new enquiries now request hybrid setups. Hubble says typical customers (for example a 100-person business) use combinations of its products to downsize main offices, provide access to on-demand spaces, and send remote work perks to employees. The platform was founded in 2014 by Tushar Agarwal (CEO) and Tom Watson and is based in London. Hubble operates an online marketplace for flexible office space, listing over 5,000 offices and covering the whole flexible office market. The platform works with large providers such as WeWork and IWG as well as more than 500 independent providers to help growing businesses find and rent space. Customers mentioned in the article include Funding Circle, Jaguar Land Rover, Monzo Bank and Trussle. Founded in 2014 by CEO Tushar Agarwal and based in London, Hubble currently operates in London and Manchester. The company plans to use new funding to expand operations and to invest further in its technology platform. Prior to this round Hubble had raised a total of £6.4m. Hubble operates an online marketplace that matches companies seeking flexible office space with landlords and commercial space providers. The company began by helping startups find spare office space but has expanded its platform to serve traditional SMEs and larger corporates. Hubble reports a large uptick in demand for flexibility since the Brexit referendum. Its leadership argues that technology is required to scale given the rising number of transactions and lower per-transaction values that challenge traditional property agents. With new capital the startup is building its platform to act as a "digital commercial property advisor," using accumulated data to automate and personalize office-space searches. The company has raised £1.2 million in new funding to support that product development. Hubble HQ operates an online marketplace that connects startups and small businesses with landlords, co-working operators and other companies that have spare office space. The platform lets users browse listings by startup-relevant criteria such as nearby coffee shops, Wi‑Fi, meeting rooms and which other startups occupy a space. Contracts are typically offered on a rolling monthly basis with one month’s notice, and the company handles online contracts and payments. Listings are free and Hubble HQ charges 10% of the monthly rent for up to 12 months only when a successful match and lease is made. The startup reports being revenue positive more or less from the outset. The fresh capital will be used to boost engineering talent and further build out the platform.
