Hyuject, founded in 2020 as a Hanyang University lab spinout, commercializes energy-harvesting technology—particularly piezoelectric energy harvesting—into products for real-world monitoring. Its flagship product is an independent-power IoT sensor and monitoring system for underground power ducts and pipelines that measures temperature, humidity, and gas and transmits data via a gateway to a surface control room. The company reports a piezoelectric generation record of 759.5 mW/cm³. Hyuject was selected for Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) open innovation programs (phases 1 and 2) and is collaborating with KEPCO to advance its technology and products.
