Heartex offers an open-source data labeling platform that emphasizes software over labeling services, with features for data quality management, reporting and analytics. The company separates the data plane and control plane so customers keep data on their own storage and says it does not collect customer data. Co-founded by Michael Malyuk, Maxim Tkachenko and Nikolay Lyubimov in 2019, Heartex plans to use new funding to improve its product and expand headcount from 28 to 68 by year-end. The company competes with firms including AIMMO, Labelbox, Scale AI, Snorkel AI and the data-labeling offerings from Google and Amazon.
