Overview
Hy2Care develops CartRevive, a proprietary hydrogel implant designed to repair damaged cartilage in a minimally invasive way. The company recently received FDA Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) approval to begin clinical evaluation of CartRevive in the U.S. Hy2Care has raised new capital to prepare for a U.S. clinical trial and to support early commercialisation steps in Europe and other global markets. The €4.5M financing comes as the firm positions itself within a growing regenerative orthopaedics market; the U.S. cartilage repair market is projected to exceed $1.6 billion by 2030. Investors include the European Innovation Council (EIC) Fund, existing shareholders led by Brightlands Venture Partners, and new participation from regional development agency LIOF.
