Hybron Technologies develops proprietary composite manufacturing processes—including a hybrid chopped-fiber polymer approach—that the company says can produce complex parts up to 100 times faster than conventional composite methods while delivering structural performance comparable to continuous carbon-fiber materials. Hybron asserts its components can be up to 90% lighter than many aerospace-grade metals and that its all-U.S. supply chain helps reduce costs. The company’s initial product efforts are focused on composite 155mm artillery shell casings and turbine fan blades, both in advanced prototyping. Hybron was founded in 2022, is headquartered in El Segundo, California, and is a graduate of the Northrop Grumman Technology Accelerator. With the recent $20 million Series Seed, Hybron plans to expand engineering and manufacturing capacity and move toward low-rate initial munitions production and broader commercial deployment.
