Hyloris Pharmaceuticals is a Liège, Belgium–based specialty pharmaceutical company that identifies underserved medical needs and develops new formulations of existing drugs. Its development strategy is focused on the US FDA 505(b)(2) regulatory pathway, targeting molecules with established safety and efficacy. Product and candidate areas include IV Cardiovascular, other reformulations, and established-market high-barrier generics. The company has two commercial-stage products: Sotalol IV for atrial fibrillation (partnered with AltaThera) and Maxigesic® IV, a non-opioid analgesic co-owned with AFT Pharmaceuticals. Hyloris also has 12 product candidates at various stages of development. In April 2020 Hyloris raised €15m in funding from investors including Scorpiaux, Noshaq, Saffelberg Investments and Nomainvest. The proceeds will support execution of its development and commercialization strategy to bring improved products to market.
