Hyme Energy
Titangade 11, Copenhagen N, 2200, Denmark
Overview
Hyme Energy builds molten‑salt thermal storage systems designed for energy‑intensive industries that require continuous steam in the 200–500°C range. Its technology converts renewable electricity into heat stored in molten salt tanks above 500°C, enabling long‑duration discharge suitable for food & beverage, chemicals, and metals production. The company has a pilot project planned with Arla to deliver a 200 MWh system for milk powder production that would replace fossil fuels and cut CO2 emissions entirely at that site. Hyme concentrates on segments with large steam demand and partners with blue‑chip suppliers and EPC firms rather than manufacturing components itself to accelerate scaling. Management is pursuing EU funding for the Arla project and aims to expand deployment globally through industrial partnerships. Financially, Hyme has raised approximately €25M ($26M) to date from equity, convertible notes, and grants and is planning a €20–30M Series A.
