Overview
Hyro is a New York–based health-tech company founded in 2018 that provides a Responsible AI Agent Platform purpose-built for healthcare. The system blends large language models with Hyro’s proprietary conversational engine, small language models and healthcare-specific knowledge graphs to power chat and voice agents across call centers, websites, SMS, mobile apps and other channels. These agents integrate directly with EHRs like Epic and with leading CRMs, autonomously handling tasks such as registration, routing, scheduling and prescription management while remaining HIPAA-compliant. Hyro reports that its technology accurately resolves up to 85 % of routine patient interactions, and it visualizes performance through a Patient Intelligence Dashboard. The platform is already live at more than 45 U.S. health systems—including Sutter Health, Tampa General Hospital, Prisma Health and Piedmont Healthcare—and reaches over 30 million patients. In 2025 the company introduced Proactive Px™, expanding into bi-directional, inbound and outbound outreach to anticipate patient needs. With total funding now at $95 million, Hyro intends to accelerate development of administrative, operational and clinical AI agents and broaden adoption among payers, providers and specialty clinics.
