Ignion manufactures antennas for Internet of Things (IoT), mobile connectivity and short-range wireless devices using a technology it calls Virtual Antenna. The company says its technology is already deployed in 30 million IoT devices. It is using new funds to support an international expansion and to develop new products such as multi‑radio antennas and cloud software updates. Ignion was founded in 2015 by former Fractus employees and is headquartered in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Barcelona. The team includes founders Carles Puente, Jaume Anguera and Aurora Andújar, with Jaap Groot as CEO and Javier López (ex‑General Electric) joining as CFO in February. The company is actively seeking further capital to finance growth and new services.
