Imagenomix has developed a patent-protected AI platform that identifies genetic alterations of cancer directly from standard histopathology images and maps the spatial distribution of those mutations without DNA sequencing. The company is a New York City–based spinout of NYU Langone Health and is led by CEO Travis Wold. Imagenomix plans to focus initially on lung, brain, and breast cancers. It intends to initiate a clinical trial in breast cancer and to commercially launch a V2 lung cancer classifier later this year in collaboration with Proscia. The firm also supports an alliance with Alterome Therapeutics, which is applying the technology in Phase I therapeutic trials. Financially, Imagenomix recently raised $3.2 million in seed funding to support these development, clinical, and commercial activities.
