Overview

Immune Design is a Seattle, WA-based clinical-stage biotechnology company that develops immune-based therapies for cancer, infectious diseases, allergy, and autoimmune disorders. The company builds two synergistic platforms: DCVex™, a lentiviral vector platform delivering antigen-encoding nucleic acids to dendritic cells in vivo, and GLAAS™, a TLR4 agonist platform that activates dendritic cells and promotes Th1 cytokine responses. Its lead therapeutic candidates are ID-LV305 (from DCVex™) and ID-G305 (leveraging GLAAS™), which are investigational cancer therapeutics designed to elicit tumor-specific T cell and broader immune responses. Immune Design intends to advance these candidates through proof-of-concept studies and to initiate clinical trials of each as single agents, as a combined candidate (ID-CMB305), and in combination with other cancer immunotherapy approaches. The company is led by Carlos Paya, M.D., Ph.D., as President and CEO, with senior clinical and scientific leadership guiding development. Immune Design Corp. is a Seattle, WA–based biotechnology company focused on developing novel vaccines and immunotherapies for infectious disease and cancer. It is advancing a vaccine pipeline built on two proprietary technologies: GLA, a synthetic TLR-4 agonist clinical-stage adjuvant, and DC-NILV, a delivery vector engineered to target human dendritic cells and express antigens and immunomodulatory elements. GLA is being developed as a component in multiple internal and partnered vaccine programs. DC-NILV is initially being applied in cancer indications of significant unmet need. The company plans to use new funds to accelerate lead candidates through clinical studies and to expand development of new vaccines and therapeutics. Since its inception in 2008 Immune Design has raised $50M in equity capital to date.
