Overview

Implicity is a Cambridge, MA–based software company offering a universal cardiac remote monitoring and research platform for clinics and service companies. Its AI-based technology and cardiac data management solutions include an FDA-cleared algorithm that analyzes ECG episodes from implantable loop recorders. The platform enables healthcare professionals to take a more holistic approach to caring for cardiac patients. The company supports more than 60,000 patients across 100 medical facilities in the United States and Europe. Led by CEO Dr. Arnaud Rosier, Implicity plans to use new funding to increase its US market presence and expand into new markets. It also intends to develop additional medical device software to strengthen its technological leadership. Implicity provides a universal platform that aggregates transmissions from cardiac implantable electronic devices (pacemakers and defibrillators) across vendors and uses AI to contextualize device data with patients' medical records. The tool enables physicians to remotely track connected patients, filter alerts, and deliver personalized telemedicine to optimize medical resources. After one year of deployment in France the platform follows more than 8,000 patients (reported as over 10% of patients on the platform) across about twenty public and private hospitals and participates in the ETAPES program that allows teams to bill €130 per patient per year. The product targets the fragmentation caused by vendor-specific platforms (Abbott, Biotronik, Boston Scientific, Medtronic and Microport) by offering a single interface for hospitals. Founded in May 2016 by Dr. Arnaud Rosier with David Perlmutter and Louis Pinot and headquartered in Paris, Implicity positions itself as a French leader in digitalizing CIED monitoring. The company plans to strengthen sales and marketing across France and Europe, deploy a first U.S. data center in 2019, and accelerate development and commercialization of new AI algorithms to improve prognosis and follow-up while reducing health resource use.
