Overview
Impraise builds web and mobile applications as a people enablement platform to help organisations reimagine performance and development processes. The product is designed to increase productivity, engagement, and retention by letting individuals take ownership of their performance and development. The company was founded in 2014 and is a Y Combinator alumnus with bases in Amsterdam and New York. Impraise has partnered with more than 200 customers worldwide, including CERN, DoorDash, and Skyscanner. The startup recently raised $10.6 million in a funding round led by Keen Venture Partners with participation from prior backer HenQ. Impraise offers a mobile app that lets supervisors provide immediate evaluations and enables peer feedback (anonymously if desired), recording ratings and other metrics for analytics. The product is designed to reduce HR busywork and make performance reporting more transparent and objective compared with annual manager-only reviews. The company launched in 2014 and is a Y Combinator alumnus. Its enterprise users include Atlassian, Booking.com, M&C Saatchi, and IDEO. The team has grown from five to 21 employees, moved its headquarters from Los Altos to New York City, and opened an office in Amsterdam. Impraise plans to use its seed funding to hire, integrate with more HR software, build new features, and improve its analytics platform while targeting U.S. customers and expanding into Europe.
