Overview

Inato operates a two-sided technology platform that connects pharmaceutical sponsors with community research sites to make clinical trials more accessible, inclusive, and efficient. The platform enables community sites to more efficiently select the right trial opportunities and helps sponsors partner with a broader range of verified community research sites, with collaborative, evidence-based enrollment planning and ongoing support. Inato plans to use new funding to advance its diversity product to help sponsors meet new FDA requirements, invest in oncology-specific innovations to increase access to care, and further define and scale its data model to improve matching reliability. The company announced a $20 million Series A2 financing from existing and new investors. Launched in late 2020, Inato's platform has grown to include over 2,500 community research sites supporting more than 70 disease areas in over 60 countries and has partnerships with a third of the top 30 pharmaceutical companies. The company will also pursue international growth and hiring to support continued product innovation. Inato provides a platform for biopharmaceutical companies to increase the pool of available patients engaged in clinical trials by unlocking research site potential and matching the best sites for any given study. The platform also ensures that site partners in its network are delivering trials. To date, Inato has worked with more than 2,000 research sites across over 50 global trials and has been used by more than 3,500 doctors in 75 countries. The company is led by CEO Kourosh Davarpanah and a management team that includes William Pambrun, Pr. Philippe Ravaud, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jean-David Zeitoun, and CSO Liz Beatty. Inato is based in Paris and also has offices in New York and London. The company raised $14M in Series A funding to support growth and product development. Inato offers an AI-based data collection and analysis tool for the pharmaceutical sector focused on site selection and patient recruitment. The system automates data structuring and analysis, cross-checks data sources, and provides insights to accelerate recruitment and reduce development costs. CEO Kourosh Davarpanah says the platform accounts for over 200,000 hospital departments, more than 1.2 million investigators, and experience across 900,000+ trials. The company notes big pharma spends about 15% of annual revenue on clinical trials and that a single trial can cost up to $500 million, underscoring the potential impact of better site and patient selection. Inato raised €1.3 million from Serena Capital, Fly Ventures, Kima Ventures, Bertrand Diard and Franck le Ouay. The raise is intended to make clinical trials more efficient.
