Inflowmatix
1 Venture Road, Southampton Science Park, Southampton, Hampshire, SO16 7NP, United Kingdom
Overview
Inflowmatix develops data-analytics systems and a high-speed logger to provide water flow and pipe-health analytics to water utilities worldwide. Its technology, patent-pending, is based on research from Dr Ivan Stoianov’s InfraSense Labs in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Imperial College London. Founded in July 2015 as a spin-out of Imperial College London and led by CEO Steve George, the company has developed a prototype product and is engaging potential clients in field trials. The company plans to use new funds to continue customer field trials and to launch the first commercial version of its high-speed logger. It positions its product to help utilities diagnose hydraulic instabilities and failures, prioritize network maintenance and reduce operating costs. The Series A financing strengthens its ability to validate system performance and financial benefits in the field. Inflowmatix develops continuous, near‑real‑time water flow and system‑health analytics for transmission and distribution networks. Its patent‑protected prototype product, InfraSense TS, was developed for continuous monitoring and analysis of dynamic hydraulic conditions and has already been deployed in prototype form. The technology is designed to help operators monitor, diagnose and manage hydraulic instabilities, reducing bursts, leakage and operating costs while enabling prioritised maintenance. The company originates from Dr Ivan Stoianov’s InfraSense Labs in Imperial College London and leverages expertise in hydraulic and water‑quality modelling, model predictive control, embedded systems and data analytics. Imperial Innovations has committed £1m in seed funding to enable Inflowmatix to further develop its existing and already deployed prototypes. The founding team includes Dr Ivan Stoianov and an experienced management team led by Chairman Dr David Parker.
