Ingeniatrics develops micro- and nanoscale production technologies (Flow Focusing® and Flow Blurring) to design and produce microparticles of chosen size, structure and composition. The company holds over 50 patents and patent applications related to these technologies. Its Flow Focusing® microencapsulation method was invented and developed by the company’s president, Alfonso Miguel Gañán Calvo. Founded in 2001 by biotech entrepreneurs and researchers from the University of Seville, Ingeniatrics is based in Seville and currently employs 20 people. The company raised €1.6M in funding and intends to use the proceeds to build an industrial-scale production plant for microencapsulation. It also plans to recruit international marketing managers and obtain necessary certifications to commercialize its technologies.
