Overview
Founded in 2020, Ingenium Therapeutics is building a next-generation anti-cancer platform that mass-produces memory Natural Killer (NK) cells capable of both tumor-killing and immune-modulating activity. Its lead candidate, Genglueucel (IGNK001), received an International Non-proprietary Name (INN) from the WHO in 2023 and has been granted FDA Orphan Drug Designation, allowing it to skip Phase 1 and move directly into Phase 2 trials. The company is currently preparing a Phase 2 IND at the world’s largest cancer center. Ingenium’s proprietary manufacturing process can generate large quantities of memory NK cells, giving it a commercialization advantage. The firm plans to use upcoming funding to advance global clinical studies and pursue out-licensing discussions with multinational pharmaceutical companies. Cumulatively, the company has raised more than ₩16 billion and is targeting an IPO in 2028 with Kiwoom Securities as lead underwriter.
