Inkless invented a printing technology that enables black-and-white printing on normal paper without ink, cartridges, toners or special thermal coatings, delivering cost and environmental benefits. The company says its solution eliminates the need to refill or replace consumables. The initial product will target the packaging and labelling market for printing barcodes, shelf-life data and product codes. Inkless is composing a customer file to ensure the product fits user needs and aims to reach competitive quality and speed performance. After reaching development-ready performance the company plans to build the first product and later expand the technology to production printers, office printers, consumer printers and receipt printers. The company raised funding to make the technology development-ready and is preparing a next financing round planned for the end of 2018.
